Where High Speed Pays For Itself
Speed on a commercial door is not a vanity spec. Every second a loading dock door stays open in January is conditioned air pouring out; every second a parkade grille takes to open is a vehicle idling on the ramp. High-cycle, high-traffic openings — distribution docks, parkades, car washes, drive-through lanes — are where a Rapido earns its premium over the standard OGH, OSH, MSJ or OTH equivalents. The RVH exists specifically for high-speed vinyl roll-up doors, with #41 or #50 chain selected to optimize opening time.
Shared Line Features
- Single-phase input with switchless motors
- Speed managing device for soft-start / soft-stop (VFD on RMSJ)
- Electrically activated drum-band solenoid brake
- Emergency chain hoist with electrical cut-out interlock (quick-release arm on RTBH)
- Rotary cam limits with Accu-cam one-hand adjustment; stays in time through manual operation
- Monitored control circuit, on-board control board and rolling-code radio receiver
- NEMA 1 hinged enclosure
- Non-resettable 6-digit cycle counter
What Fails & How We Repair It
The speed managing electronics add a diagnostic layer beyond a standard operator. A fault there can masquerade as a motor problem — the door runs, but at reduced speed or with harsh starts. On belt-drive models (RSH, RMSJ, RVH), belt tension and the friction clutch are routine adjustment points. The RGH’s worm gear reducer runs in an oil bath that should be checked at service intervals. On the RTBH, trolley track alignment is an additional maintenance item. Because high-speed doors complete far more cycles between visits, the maintenance clock genuinely runs faster — the built-in cycle counter is there for exactly that reason. We read and log it at every service call.
Choosing Between Models
If you are unsure which unit you have, the model code is on the data plate on the operator housing. Note the voltage and phase while you are there, and roughly how many cycles a day the door sees. That information lets us confirm the right replacement or repair path quickly — whether it’s an RGH for a rolling grille, an RMSJ for a massive sectional, or an RVH for a vinyl high-speed roll-up.
Parts & Accessories
We stock and source Manaras factory parts: VFD modules, control boards, brake solenoids, belts, chains, limit cams, hoist assemblies and trolley components. Using OEM parts keeps the monitored control circuit and safety interlocks functioning as designed.
