What We Install vs. What We Repair
We install every model listed above on new or retrofit projects — quoted per project based on door size, lift type, voltage, and cycle requirements. Our technicians also service existing Genie commercial operators, including older units no longer in production. If a model shows as “still serviced” in our records, we stock common wear parts and can diagnose control-board, gearbox, or motor issues on site.
Choosing the Right GCL Operator
- Standard-lift sectional doors: GCL-T trolley operator, ¾ HP, rated for doors up to 1,370 lb at 30 cycles/hour.
- High-lift or full-lift sectional and rolling doors: GCL-J jackshaft with ½ or ¾ HP, available in single- or three-phase power.
- Standard-duty hoist applications: GCL-H jackshaft hoist at roughly ½ HP.
- Heavy-duty, high-cycle hoist needs: GCL-GH gear-head hoist (worm gearbox, 60 cycles/hr) or GH heavy-duty hoist (60 cycles/hr).
Cycle rating, door weight, lift configuration, and available voltage determine the correct model. We assess the opening and recommend the appropriate unit during a site visit.
