LiftMaster opener parts, a DC logic board as sold for replacement
LiftMaster Opener Parts Identified

Short answer. LiftMaster opener parts are listed by model in the back of each owner manual. The common failures are the logic board and the travel module. After those come the motor and the safety sensor kit. Drive parts and rails are sized by door height. Read the label on the old part before you order, because board numbers differ between models that look the same.

Where LiftMaster opener parts numbers come from

Every LiftMaster opener parts list in this guide comes from the repair parts pages of the owner manuals. The manual number is printed on the cover, for example 114-5898-000 for the 87504-267 and 87802, and 114-5907-000 for the 98032. If yours is gone, the model number on the motor unit label gets you there.

Travel module 041D8071-4. It is listed for both the 87504-267 and the 87802.

Look closely at the boards. The 87504-267 and the 87802 share a housing and a travel module, and still use different logic boards. That is the mistake we see most from online orders.

Rails with their belts and chains

Rails are one piece and sized to door height. For the 87504-267 belt unit it is 2777BD for a 7 ft door, 2778BD for 8 ft and 2770BD for 10 ft. Belts match, 041A5434-11A, 041A5434-13A and 041A5434-14A.

For the 87802 chain unit, rails are 3707CH, 3708CH and 3710CH, then 3712RV and 3714RV for 12 and 14 ft doors. Chains are 041D3484 for 7 ft, 041D3483 for 8 ft, 041D3485 for 10 ft, and 19-5812 and 19-5814 for the tall doors.

Trolleys and the door end

The belt trolley assembly is 041B3869-3A and the chain trolley assembly is 041A3489. Each comes with master links and a clevis pin. The ring and belt clip are included. The threaded shaft and tensioner are in there too. The tensioner alone is 041B4103 on the belt rail and 041B4103-1 on the chain rail.

At the door, the curved arm is 041B0035B, the straight arm 4178B0034B, the door bracket 041A5047-1, the header bracket 041A4353-1 and the release rope and handle 041A2828.

Sensors and small bits

The safety sensor kit is 041-0136. Its bracket is 041-0155-000, and the optional extension bracket is 041A5281-1. The white and red with white wire is 041B4494-1. Remotes take a 3V CR2032 coin cell, part K010A0020.

Here is our blunt opinion. A logic board bought online for the wrong model is the most expensive part in this guide, because it cannot go back once it has been plugged in. Read the old label or call us first.

My garage door suddenly stopped working, so I called Up and Down Garage Doors. They were able to come out the same day, which was a huge relief. The technician was friendly, professional, and easy to deal with. He did a full inspection at no extra charge and found a couple of issues I didn’t even know about. Everything was explained clearly, with no pressure, and all the repairs were completed the same day. The pricing was fair, and my garage door is working perfectly now. Great service from start to finish, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I had a broken spring on my garage door and Max come in 30mins to safe my day. Prompt and professional job done, checked all other components making sure everything is working smooth again. Replaced all the bushings, lub the belt and adjust every blots too. Is such a comprehensive service that I haven’t experienced a long time in Canada. Thanks again!

Amazing service and excellent expertise. Max helped us switch out the motor of our garage door, and now it’s basically silent. He has amazing attention to detail, making sure to explain each step of the replacement. Additionally, he helped me set up the app associated with my new garage door, and explained the different settings to me. He is also punctual, helpful, and gave me advice on my other home improvement projects.
